அண்ணே வணக்கம். raising voice against மூடப் பழக்கவழக்கங்கள், மதச்சடங்குகள், அடக்குமுறைகள், பிறரை ஏமாற்றிப் பிழைத்தல் is perfectly justified. ஈ வே ரா, மு.க, nsc and many others did that and the system improved a lot.

the discussion is getting cliched. 1. respect islam but dont fear to raise voice against women oppression, jihad. 2. respect Christianity but dont fear to raise voice against sainthood to child-molesters, force conversions. 3. respect Hinduism but dont fear to raise voice against sati (non-existing), untouchability (almost wiped out but still existing)

நெஞ்சில் கை வைத்து சொல்லுங்க whether any of the above persons followed this unbiased practice. NO. they did the first part of both 1 and 2 and second part of 3 and failed to do first part of 3. how this is justified.

unfortunately KH also follows their foot step. he is hindu hence will voice only against hinduism makes him biased IMHO. (I think i dont need to reiterate again and again im diehard fan of KH)

This is what I understood from his tweets. There wasn't anything against the Tamils in general. Why should someone who doesn't support Eelam cause not admire Swamy for his stand against corrupt and powerful politicians, whom others will not even fight in their dreams? I like Kamal as an entertainer, not for his ideologies. Similarly there are certain traits I like in other individuals too. I do not know about the PVN episode but I like the way SS stood against all odds and brought Jaya behind bars. I don't know what he gained from it but her arrest, at least proved that people in high places can not set a bad example for their partymen.

agreed..spineless was a harsh term..wanted to mean biased. but அவரது கருத்து சுதந்திரம் should not hit others' சுதந்திரம். i heard somewhere "your right extends only upto the tip of your nose"

I don't want to go into money laundering activities - thats a different story - but if you wish, check out the many money exchange centers in Brigade / MG Road, Commercial Street (Bangalore) or in Egmore (Chennai) - I was shocked when I got an 'exchange rate' of Rs.80 for $1 USD when the actual exchange rate was hovering around Rs.40 per USD few years ago - so where do they get the extra cash to buy dollars ? it all goes back to centers in Mumbai, Hyderabad, with channels to the gulf countries - if you look deeper into why they are willing to pay double the exchange rate for a dollar, it becomes clear that there is a demand for hard currency for sinister purposes - needless to add, the brigade rd/MG road / crawford market (mumbai) areas are owned by the wakf board - the richest board in India btw, in terms of ownership of prime real estate property ! aannaa naanga baadhikkappattavangalaakkum, yengala odukkareengannu sadhaa whining

LTTE wiped out every other contemporary group in Eelam - PLOT, ERPLF etc - and used innocent ppl as shields to launch attacks.
LTTE was hand-in-glove involved with other terror groups and had no problems with money from rings involved in trafficking of drugs, prostitution, arms deals.

Even the tamils feared them - FYKI my sister-in-law is a Sri Lankan Tamil so I get personal accounts from her family - had there been a separate land for Tamils, the LTTE would have gone the Hamas/Hezbollah way. Also a former PLOT member had to run away from a camp after attacked by the tigers and since his parents were known to us, he stayed/lived with our extended family for a few years - now he is somewhere in Europe (btw, most Sri Lankan tamils in their youth from the 1980s are in Europe, Canada and elsewhere).

the likes of MK capitalized on the sufferings of tamils for vote banks and there are characters like Seeman who have no clue of the ground reality in northern Sri Lanka.

also btw, the TMMK didn't utter a single honest heartfelt remark abt the plight of the tamils in Sri Lanka - its not surprising that Muslims dont constitute the suffering no amongst the Sri Lankan tamils - if only 2-3% of Sri Lankan tamils were muslims, groups like TMMK et al would have brought TN to a standstill.
