‘உலக நாயகன்’ எனத் தனது ரசிகர்களால் அழைக்கப்படும் கமல் ஹாசனுக்கு 60-வது பிறந்தநாள். தமிழ் சினிமாவின் இளம் தலைமுறையினருக்கு வழிகாட்டியாக மட்டுமின்றி, சக படைப்பாளியாகவும் பயணிக்கும் கமல் ஹாசனைச் சந்தித்துப் பேசியதிலிருந்து…


கமல் ஹாசன் என்றாலே ஜீனியஸ் என்ற பிம்பம், தமிழ் சினிமா ரசிகர்களிடம் அதிகம் உண்டு. உன்னைப் போல் ஒருவனில் உங்களை ஒரு சாமானியாக ரசிகர்களால் பார்க்க முடியவில்லை என்ற ஒரு வாதமும் உண்டு. அப்படி இருக்க, த்ரிஷ்யம் படத்தின் அடிப்படை அம்சமே ஓர் எளிய மனிதனின் அசாதாரண முயற்சி என்பதுதான். மலையாளம் ஆடியன்ஸ் மோகன்லாலை ஜார்ஜுகுட்டியாகத்தான் பார்த்தார்கள்... ஆனால், பாபநாசத்தில் கமல்ஹாசனை கமல்ஹாசனாகவே பார்க்க நேர்ந்தால்..?

நான் இதை மறுக்கிறேன். அந்தப் படத்தில் நான் மோகன்லாலாகத்தான் பார்த்தேன். ‘த்ரிஷ்யம்' படத்தில் மோகன்லால்தான் தெரிகிறார். இதைவிட மோகன்லால் சிறப்பாக நடித்த படங்களை நான் காட்ட முடியும். இந்த மாதிரி பேசுபவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் பதில் சொல்லும் படமாகப் ‘பாபநாசம்' அமையும்.

நடித்தால் நடிக்கிறார் என்கிறீர்கள், ஓவராக மேக்கப் போட்டால் மேக்கப் என்கிறீர்கள். நான் செய்ததைப் பாருங்கள். நல்லா இருந்தால் நல்லாயிருக்குன்னு சொல்லுங்க, நல்லாயில்லை என்றால் பிடிக்கலன்னு சொல்லுங்க. தவறுகள் இருந்தால் ஒத்துக் கொள்ளலாம், இந்த மாதிரியான அவதூறுகளை எல்லாம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மாட்டேன். ‘தேவர் மகன்' படத்தில்கூட கமல் தெரிவான். ஆனால் ‘மகாநதி'யில் அவன் கிருஷ்ணா. ‘தசாவதாரம்' பல்ராம் நாயுடு வேடத்தில் கமல் ஹாசன் எங்கு தெரிகிறான்?

இந்தத் தொழிலில் ரசிகர்களை விட எனக்குக் கொஞ்சம் அதிகமாகத் தெரியும். பாலமுரளி கிருஷ்ணாவின் பாடல்களை ரசித்துவிட்டு, இப்படிப் பாடியிருக்கலாம் என்று சொல்லத் தெரியாது. இன்றைக்குத் தொண்டை கட்டியிருக்கிறதுபோல என்று வேண்டுமானால் சொல்லலாம். இது கர்வம் அல்ல. எனது ஆளுமையால் வரும் தன்னம்பிக்கை.

ம்... 'துரோகால்' சஸ்பென்ஸ் படம். அதை ரீமேக்கும்போது 'குருதிப் புனல்' சஸ்பென்ஸுடன் ஆக்*ஷன் வகையறாவாக மாற்றப்பட்டது. 'வசூல்ராஜா'வில் மைக்கேல் மதன காமராஜனில் இருந்த வசன விளையாட்டு மிகுந்திருந்தது. அந்த வகையில், 'பாபநாச'த்தில் தமிழுக்காக என்ன மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது?

கதையை மாற்றவில்லை. ரொம்ப வித்தியாசமாக வந்திருக்கிறது என்று இயக்குநர் சொன்னார். நான் நம்பக் கடமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன். இல்லையென்றால் டேக் 2 கேட்டிருப்பார்.

Several conversations veer towards societal issues, solutions, his ideology etc. But when it comes to films, an important factor for the success of a movie is the characterization and whether it suits Kamal. It's not about whether audience sees Kamal or the character - it is about the "common man" and helplessness. Most of his recent films in the last 10+ years that have portrayed him like this have not done very well - Mumbai Express (where his love interest was shown as a mother of a 10 year old and he having a disability), Kadhala Kadhala (where he was an ordinary person with a lisp), Mahanadhi etc. have all had only lukewarm response at the box office.

It is shocking to see him surrounded by people without any security coverage. post vishwaroopam, he should have personal black cat protection like hindi actors.

there was an interesting point made in that interview by kamal about his "aalumai" or personality.............true..in some movies such as UPO or Vasool Raja, I believe the personality of kamal was dominating the character that kamal played..... whereas in anbey sivam or mahanadhi or as kamal pointed out, balram naidu in dasavatharam, the character and not kamal Hassan comes to our mind...... we might not have noted balram Naidu's underplay since there we might not even have noticed that it is kamal playing who is playing that role.(and that is the success of a true actor)..... and already kamal's aalumai was showing up with the scientist.....(which is what the director would have wanted)....

கமல்ஹாஸனின் அடுத்த படம் திப்பு சுல்தான்... அவரே இயக்குகிறார்!

மருதநாயகத்தை மறுபடியும் உயிர்ப்பிக்கும் கனவை கைவிடாத கமல்ஹாஸன், அதற்கு மீண்டும் ஒரு சரித்திர முயற்சியில் இறங்குகிறார். இந்த முறை அவர் கையிலெடுப்பது திப்பு சுல்தான் கதை. இப்போது அவரது மூன்று படங்கள் விஸ்வரூபம் 2, உத்தம வில்லன், பாபநாசம் முடிவடைந்து வெளியீட்டுக்குத் தயாராக உள்ளன.

இவற்றை வெளியிடும் பொறுப்பை அவற்றின் தயாரிப்பாளர்களிடமே விட்டுவிட்டு, அடுத்து தனது தயாரிப்பு மற்றும் இயக்கத்தில் 'திப்பு சுல்தான்' படத்தை ஆரம்பிக்கிறார். திப்பு சுல்தானாக நடிக்கும் கமல் ஹாஸன், அதற்கான மேக்கப்புக்கு அமெரிக்க கலைஞர்களை ஒப்பந்தம் செய்கிறார். படப்பிடிப்பின் பெரும்பகுதியை ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் நடத்தப் போகிறாராம். இதற்காக லொகேஷன் பார்க்க ஆஸ்திரேலியா கிளம்பிவிட்டார் கமல்.
