Papanasam review in the Guardian predicts an English remake. Definitely KH brought in lot of respect for the movie

Papanasam Review | Kashayam with Bosskey

    "கமல் ஐயப்பன் வேஷத்துல நடிச்சா கூட புலியா வருவாரு - ஆனா இதுல அந்த மாதிரி எல்லாம் இல்லாம ஒரு cable operator ஆகவே வாழ்ந்திருக்கார்" - Bosskey very funny!

No .. the one where IG like Ramana Vijaykanth (his words!) lists out the entire statistics and break down of Nammavar's actions in like 5 min How can someone be so thorough .. Anyways, I really didnt have issues with the initial romancing or IG's husband with her all the time. Infact the initial part sets the stage for a nice happy family getting into trouble.

Yes. It's all too perfect for both the IG and Suyambu. Antha perfection thaanga idikuthu. That's commercial cinema though. Suyambu makes mistakes but they are too few in between and his family's road to freedom is almost seamless. Suyambu like all heroes in cinema's got an amazing amount of plot armour. A serious nitpick would be however the tonal change in the movie. But it is handled so deftly that we almost never sense it.

Arvind, there's a subtle difference here. The fact is that it is Suyambu's perfection where the entire latter half's story line and plot is based of .. Its that perfection that throws everybody else out of gear. But when IG lists it out as though reading a book makes it a little hard to swallow.
