Guess ppl here are less informed! Its packed shows everywhere. Even outside TN other states, north, overseas! Everywhere its rocking and shows getting added! Superhit for sure! BB expected! No doubt at all!

Prime Media has a bizarre means of releasing its films in the US - Uthhama Villain was released in two different theaters at two locations in the Houston area - PN is released in one just one hall - but 3 shows are on for the whole week - if the screening is continued for another week that will be a sure sign of how it is received here..

Films like this ought to be released in halls like River Oaks Theater or Sundance Theater - which screen offbeat international films from countries as diverse as Iran and Argentina!

Me became a fan after watching 'Muthal Mariyadhai' which prompted me to watch his B&W films - even though I had seen them in my much younger days.

'Andha Naal' (I cannot think of anyone playing that scene in which NT gets a gun shot that realistically - would make one wonder is he was really shot!) - 'Bale Pandiyaa' (contrasting comedy in 3 roles with MRR et al being added bonus) et al cemented my fan status - and then 'Kappalottiya thamizhan' nailed it to the next level…I wish someday Kamal remakes KT with him playing the lead role …

Thevar Magan' took it to another level for both NT and the man who took it there - Kamal!

It is NT's films from the 1970s and the early 80s that were a disappointment - 'singathhukku thayir saadham' effect!

The distributors look into how much they get back when they release a movie. It is for this reason that Tamizh movies are seldom released in niche theatres. Even AMCs are not looked into. This may not change in the near future.

To be frank, I don't even consider the former to be a flaw at all.
Intha alavukku yosika theva illannu thonuthu. The movie's extremely well made. No scene is wasted and almost each one in the first half serves as a red herring for things to unfold in the second. Having watched the original I for one am extremely delighted that this was made in Tamizh. Any good actor could have made the character of the father work, but Kamal takes it to another planet.

Exactly my views.
