Yennai Arindhaal' Box Office: Ajith Starrer Grosses ₹100 Crore Worldwide

Ajith Kumar's "Yennai Arindhaal" has finally managed a century at the box office. The Tamil movie has grossed over ₹100 crore worldwide.

As per the trade buzz, "Yennai Arindhaal", by the end of its third weekend, has grossed about ₹102 crore. The response for the movie has been good despite the World Cup fever gripping the nation.

Especially, the turn-out for the Tamil movie in multiplexes has been good. "Yennai Arindhaal", which is Ajith's Tamil film, and a few Bengali films have done well so our admits have not been affected at all," Box Office India reports Kamal Gianchandani, president, PVR Pictures, as saying.

At the domestic box office, "Yennai Arindhaal" has earned close to ₹75 crore. It has earned about ₹28 crore from international circuits. According to trade reports, the film has earned about ₹60.5 crore in Tamil Nadu, ₹6.3 crore in Karnataka, ₹5.30 crore in Kerala and the remaining business from rest of India.

When it comes to overseas, "Yennai Arindhaal" is doing well in the US, UK and a few other centres. But the breakup of the business made by the film at different centres is yet to be revealed by trade analysts.

At the Chennai box office, "Yennai Arindhaal" has raked in about ₹5.75 crore so far. The film had above 425 shows in the past week and the occupancy had been good. During the weekend, the response was exceptionally well in some theatres.

Currently, "Yennai Arindhaal" is considered as an above-average film at the box office. The Tamil movie should have a decent run for a few weeks to become a hit movie.

"Yennai Arindhaal" is a romantic-action movie directed by Gautham Menon. AM Rathnam produced film has Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Arun Vijay playing key roles along with Ajith Kumar.

Yennai Arindhaal - 100 cr clube news‘என்னை அறிந்தால்’ படம் கடந்த 5ம் தேதியன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் வெளியானது. கடந்த 18 நாட்களில் இந்தப் படம் 100 கோடி ரூபாயைத் தாண்டியிருப்பதாக கோடம்பாக்க வியாபார வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.
படம் வெளியான முதல் வாரத்தில் அபாரமான வசூலையும், அதன் பின் சராசரியான வசூலையும் பெற்ற இந்தப் படம் உலகம் முழுவதும் வசூலித்த தொகை 100 கோடியைத் தாண்டியிருப்பதாக தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.
தமிழ்நாட்டில் மட்டும் இப்படம் சுமார் 61 கோடி ரூபாயையும், கர்நாடகாவில் 6 கோடி, கேரளாவில் 5 கோடி, உலக அளவில் 29 கோடி ரூபாயையும், மற்ற மாநிலங்களில் 2 கோடி ரூபாயும் வசூலித்திருப்பதாகச் சொல்கிறார்கள்.
இது திரையரங்குகள் மூலம் வந்த வருமானம் மட்டுமே, படத்தின் தொலைக்காட்சி உரிமை, வேற்று மொழிஉரிமை ஆகியவற்றைச் சேர்த்தால் மேலும் ஒரு 20 கோடி ரூபாயையும் கணக்கில் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளலாம் என்கிறார்கள்.

though many of websites report that YA has grossed over 100Cr there is a section of the media giving mixed news saying we will have to wait for the announcement from the producer...if that is the case then why at all simply give figues each week and weekend and give figures for other films but don't add a disclaimer to wait for the announcement from the producer...these double tongued media...

The Kollywood films like I, Yennai Arindhaal received a positive response all around the globe; including the South Indian Film Industry.

Though these films are getting a warm welcome in Kerala also; Malyalam films are continuing its state of crisis.


Reaching to the last few days of February; M-Town saw the release of about 20 films within; where most collapsed in box office.

Prithviraj starrer Picket 43; directed by Major Ravi and Rajesh Pillai directed Mili (starring Nivin Pauly, Amala Paul), received a positive response; emerging as a decent hit in box office.
At the same time, Mammootty starrer Fireman, directed by Deepu Karunakaran, which released on 19th February; is looking forward to emerge as the first super hit in 2015.
The film, which saw Mammootty doing the role of a Fireman, received positive response all around; with a collection of 3.20 crores within the 4 days of release (according to reports); which is maintained by the all round positive reviews on social medias and mouth publicity, by the common audience.
The film was also well applauded by the critics; as the story telling on the basis of a crisis management along with a thriller is not common to Indian Film Industry.
Since the exam season is reaching; there will not be a mass release, in order to compete with Fireman.
