Many movies are planned during the same weekend. Karthi's next, Nanbenda, Mani rathnam's next, Vikram's next are just a few. They are not all big releases and some of them may not release on the same weekend as April 2 but these are all April releases for sure. Because of this, UV will not be a solo release. In terms of big release, Rajamouli's next (Bahubali) which is shot in both Telugu and Tamil is planned to release on April 10th.

That is why, it is important to announce a firm release date way in advance and ensure it is a solo release and does not have much competition for a week or 2. Collections in the first 2 weeks determine the fate of any film.

WC ends by march 29,IPL starts by April-8..in between during Good Friday 4 day week-end movie is getting released..perfect time and if the movie is good it will do extremely well even after 2 weeks of release becoz of summer holidays..
