Why is it that none of the websites mention Adhalaal Kadhal Seiveer in any of their lists .
Suseendran's Pandiyanadu was good but AKS certainly deserves a better place.
I watched 22 Tamil movies this year.
The BEST
1. Vishwaroopam (Cant think of any other movie coming close to this)
2. Soodhu Kavvum
3. Aadhalaal Kadhal Seiveer
4. Onaayum Aattukuttiyum
Good ones-- Those which I watched after hearing good reviews and got satisfied
5. Pandiyanadu
6. Varuthapadaadha Valibar Sangam
Average-- Once-pakkalaam OR Innum nalla pannirukkalaame types
7. Samar
8. Chennaiyil Oru Naal
9. Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaaru
10. Neram
11. Aarambam
12. 555
13. Singam II
Below Expectation-- The Idhukku thaan ivvalo build-upa? category
14. Vidiyum Munn
15. Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya
16. Ethir Neechal
17. Pizza 2: The Villa
Crap-- Thanjaavoor Kalvettu padangal. After watching these movies, my reaction was like Andrea's when she watches Kamal throwing the dollars up.
18. Kadal
19. Sutta Kadhai
20. Nagaraja Chozhan M.A
21. Ya Ya
22. Alex Pandian

after totaling i too felt
i watched viswaroopam & aarambam in theater..
all others download & just like reading newspaper... watch once [to update with latest trend].. few scenes will be remembered, but mostly it goes out of mind.. esp. santhanam's comedy.. only less than 5% is remembered..
mappi deserves he even posts atleast 200 words of review & analysis of these films.. apart from tamil, we don't know the count of other language movies he watched..
i really wonder how u guys manage time between films, sports, online activities, career etc. i've decided to reduce time spent atleast on long posts in hub..

Ajithfederer / HonestRaj,
I assume you are aware that I volunteered to be an operator in a cinema hall. I project about 3 to 4 films a week. Thus automatically increasing the view count of most to all of the Hollywood films and European films. Plus with few contacts in this circle, I get information about screenings of other foreign films, and I follow Cannes quite closely as I adore the work they do towards promoting film as an art. To compete with them, I never miss to watch Indian movies, notably TFI movies. Compete in the sense, to talk with the audience about our movies. One day I hope a TFI movie will be screened under a competition in Cannes, and I be there to invite the foreign guests and show them the hall and when our movie wins, I would like to see their standing ovation. With the pace in which our film makers are handling the art, I am sure the day is not far.
Year 2013 was a generous year, as many of the movies had a theatrical release here in France. Ayngaran, BR Films, Anna Films & Night ED Films have done some wonderful job in bringing in our movie here. They have went to an extent in accruing contracts with Cinema Hall chains like CGR, Gaumont & Pathé as well as screening the film almost throughout France, initially it was only at Paris. Most of the films, I caught them at the theater, just missed Mariyan and skipped David Tamil version. Big disappointment was the show cancellation of Vishwaroopam at GrandRex. During my visit to India March 2013, I saw Vishwaroopam and other handful of films. Youtube was quite generous too, as most to all films are in there (Telugu / Hindi). Even though I hate to watch them through youtube, sometimes you got to go with the choices you have got. Finally I collect DVDs/Bluray of films and documentaries based on films.
Time : I manage to find some. Maybe being mobile-less and no nothing at social media, I have slightly more time to catch up with a film and write a few things here. Voilà !
