Its still very much possible to see him bat again, if Gayle and company score and take lead within say 70-80 overs. And Kapthan thony ask Sachin to open.

Pujara's fine knock got ignored by Rohit's knock. Gavaskar-Harsha kumbal projects Rohit an another legend like Sachin. I am not against such koovals. But why Rohit alone? Let them praise equally other talented fellows too. Ashwin's 100 wickets feet is one another got overshadowed.

We can already see Pujara and RS slipping into the roles occupied by Dravid and Sachin in terms of media image (In terms of strike rate and stuff, the gap between them is not that much, Pujara is quite attacking in a different way). Media desperately needs to hype up new stars if they want food on the table. I am still not convinced RS has the unrelenting drive of Tendulkar to keep batting on. Something would have had to have dramatically changed within him for that because he has thrown away several starts before in his career. I just hope both will do well in South Africa.
