    Is Aruna a Tamizh name?

    Dear All,

    Can someone please advise if Aruna a Tamizh name......

    Also what other suffix names can be added to Aruna like Aruna devi, Arunalakshmi.... Am looking for a Tamizh extension to Aruna. Aruna is my Amma's name whose not with us anymore. Am actually looking for a Tamizh name for my daughter with a reference to my Amma's name.

    Hoplng to get some response on my request....

    No it's not and neither are devi or lakshmi

    Selvi is a pure thamizh name and can be added to many names.

    but when it is your mother's name, then it does not matter if it is non-tamil too.

    It is his daughter... I guess our preferences don't count.

    Thank you for your response. Agree with you guys since it's my mother's name it does not matter. I just want to add a Tamizh name as a suffix to to Aruna looking for some inputs......
