According to web sites he still have back issue but failed to admit. May be he is very generous.
This time he let media talk about his injuries.

Nadal Talks Down Health Questions, Looks Ahead To Miami

“Forget about the back. I don't want to talk about the back anymore because my back is fine. The bad feelings were with my forehand and backhand,” he said, smiling in his post-match press conference. “When you are pushed to the limit, these things happen. You can lose. I lost today. Congratulations [Dolgopolov]. He played better than me. That's it. Life continues.“

Maybe the Aus open backlash stung him so he wants to keep quiet for some time after these losses before he resumes whining.

Fed plays Haas today & it could be tricky.
Whenever he plays his generation or his prior he seems to get a little passive and at times doesn't care to lose...
2012 Halle Final (vs Haas) and 2014 Brisbane Final (vs Hewitt) comes to mind..
Hope this not being a final should help to keep his attention without getting into his charity mode...

    Anyway tougher matches are ahead....
