This to me is very much up there with Kadal. Kadal had a lot of innovation and experimentation. This, in this he has just let the singers do the job and sat back and added a bit of music here and there, just so soulful! This album makes me feel like am back in the 90s after a long time...

The lyrics are great! The singing is amazing.

Though i said Kadal had a lot of innovation and experimentation. Maryan, in all its simplicity has some hidden gems of innovation which I really cant explain. I just feel it. May be my knowledge in music is not good enough for me to put it into words.

it depends on director of the movie.. bt IMO, it is above average except 'Enga pona raasa' & 'Netru aval' , and not upto Kadal standard..
The same wil happen for 'Ranjhanna' movie also.. it s the first collaboration of ARR nd movie director.. lets c.. pray for the best..
