yeh zulf kaisi hain
zanjeer jaisi hain
woh kaisi hogi jiski tasveer aisi hai
Anil dhawan - Most good looking chap of those days.Typical tall - handsome types. Definitely his smile reminds me of madhvan.
Its an amazing remix. The nasha of asha makes it very special for me and its that nasha which had me prefer her over latha.
Parde mein rehnE do parda na utao
parda jo ut gaya tho bhed khul jayega
allah meri tauba; allah meri tauba.

Hey rd, thanks for all 3 versions and the video.
Ive initially known only one happy version, and always loved the song for its happy romantic mood, until sometime back when I knew there was a painful addition to the same song. Painful, very painful indeed is the second version.
The remix overpowers the macho voice of amitabh! What a voice! goes deep inside to chistle some undefined memories. Left me completely immersed in those beautiful scenic capturings and also a kind of lonliness.
Every 'kabhi kabhi' uttered has so much unsaid emotions and meanings. (remix version)
'mein jaanta hoon ki tu gheir, mahar yoonhi'
that line has deep meaning in all 3 versions. ....and life goes on. Thanks for those songs, as ever it remains one of my most fav. :ty:
Lyrics it seems is from "Sahir Ludhyanvi" originally as a poem which we find in the remix version, in macho voice of bollywood king.

(herez the lyrics)
thanks again. :ty: :ty:
Hi Shakthi: I am not a usual fan of remixes, as they often ruin great songs/scenes from great movies. "kabhi kabhi..." is an exception. Amitabh's poetic recital and Shobhana's dreamy dance add an entirely new and poignant dimension to Sahir Ludhianvi's immortal lyrics. I am glad you liked it :)

love it more for the LYRICS. (Video or even listening to the song itself can be dispensed off actually )

naayak nahi khalanaayak hai tu
naayak nahi khalanaayak hoon main zulmi bada duhkhadaayak hoon main
hai pyaar kya mujhako kya khabar bas yaar nafarat ke laayak hoon main
naayak nahi khalnaayak hoon ...
teri tabiyat to rangeen hai par tu mohabbat ki tauheen hai
kuch bhi nahi yaad isake siva na main kisi ka na koi mera
jo cheez maangi nahi vo mili karata main kya aur bas chheen li
main bhi sharaafat se jeeta magar mujhako shareefon se lagata tha dar
sabako pata tha main kamazor hoon main isalie aaj kuch aur hoon
naayak nahi khalanaayak hoon ...
kitane khilaunon se khela hai tu afasos phir bhi akela hai tu
bachapan mein likhi kahaani meri kaise badalati javaani meri
saara samandar mere paas hai ek boond paani meri pyaas hai
dekha tha maan ne kabhi pyaar se ab mit gai vo bhi sansaar se
main vo lutera hoon jo lut gaya maan ka aanchal kaheen chhup gaya
naayak nahi khalnaayak hoon ...

I aint fond of the dance choreography or much to say the magical  tune? ?! not to talk about Sanjay kapoor :sigh2:
What I like about the song is MADHURI's body language and expressions.

I dont think this song even needs an intro!
Even after years the move was released, the song went sizzling all thro our school campus and every one of us murmuring the song to get our name stamped amidst "keeping up with trends"
MD needs his due credit  not to leave behind the pakistani singer nazia hussain.
