The world is a small place
true experience. :) pls bare with me :oops:
8:00 p.m. Lufthansa counters closed at LAX. The board read “Check-in at 9:40.”
“What do we do for an hour at the airport?” I asked my mother.
“We could go to the restaurants, eat something and look around” was her sincere reply.
“But amma it’s LAX. What can we do exactly?” “Why the hell is your flight so late?” I asked my sister with frustration.
“Don’t talk like that” my mom said.
“Fine :x.”
My family and I waited in front of the elevator. The doors opened, we walked in. The elevator doors were about to close when two guys stepped in. The doors automatically opened. Both looked the typical Indian guys.
But wait, I’ve seen him somewhere. I know him.
The guy saw my puzzled look and gave me a friendly smile.
I’ve seen the same smile somewhere. He’s the same guy. I know him. What’s his name?
I turned towards my sister. She had the same looks to and she gave me a confident smile. Her smile meant a lot. It cleared all my doubts. It was him. The famous Indian guy.
The elevator stopped. All of us got out of it. He looked back and gave me the smile. I knew it was him.
Gosh what if it’s not him? I don’t want to get embarrassed. Anyway let me just ask him.
“Amma oru nimisham iru.”
I walked up to him. By this time he had stopped. He knew I’d come and that I had recognized him.
“Hmmm. Abhijeet? Indian Idol?”
“Yes maam,”
“Hey I’m ********. How are you?”
“I’m great. Thank you.”
“Well I kind of knew it was you but I was doubtful so I had to give you the weird looks. Pardon me.”
He laughed. “I understand.”
“So what are you upto? In L.A?”
“Just here for some work. I’m then going to New York for some personal work and I’ll be back home.”
He then asked me a few things and we spoke for a while. We departed with a hug and a hand shake. He looked the same and he was the on from Indian Idol. The one guy every girl and any where. wanted to marry at one point of time. The guy I was crazy about for a month. The guy my friend considered her boy friend. I had never met him when I was in India, to be more specific in his own place. This evening I realized that the world is indeed a very small place and you will meet people any time.
I went back to where my parents were. By that time our food was ready and the Lufthansa counters were open.
“Amma can you believe I saw him?”
“That’s why you never call any place boring. You never know what can happen, and some day it could be ARR or Kamal.”
Never hate waiting in airports :lol: :D

Only that, lot of times, we dont meet up with long lost ppl whom we actually WANNA meet. World becomes too big to spot them :cry:

not really............... you WILL spot them...maybe not at the right time...but i'm sure you will :)
