Ashton Kutcher on "Two and a Half Men" debut
Clip 4:11
Actor Ashton Kutcher speaks about his much-anticipated debut in the ninth season of CBS's sitcom "Two and a Half Men," and replacing actor Charlie Sheen.
Charlie sheen in Jay leno now. His 1st appearance since the meltdown in March.
Charlie looked very sobre and gentle.
Had a great camraderie with Leno
Says he would have fired his ass off too if he were the producer.. “Well, maybe not like they did.”
Says got a wake up call the day he was fired.
Tried calling the producers and studio to set things right but never got a return call.
No animosity with the cast at all.
Says a new show is planned with Lionsgate titled "Anger Management" which is most likely a subset of the film. He plays the counselor.
Says he can't do again the same episodes he did. He is out of energy and no slogans left.
Sheen said his rants spawned a media frenzy that was like “a runaway train that I was the reluctant conductor of — and it just kept going.”
“I said some things that were a little out there,” he said, drawing laughs. “I might have overshot the mark a little bit. But these were just metaphors. I didn’t really believe I had ‘tiger blood’ or ‘Adonis DNA.’ These were just jokes.”
“Many people thought you were out of control,” said Leno. “Were you out of control?”
“Absolutely,” Sheen said.
Asked if he has any advice for Ashton Kutcher, his replacement on the CBS comedy, Sheen said, “It’s hard to give advice to a guy that accomplished. I would just give him a hug and just say, ‘Make me proud, dude.’”
