MAMOOTTY
Lets discuss about one of the greatest actors of Indian films....MOHD KUTTY alias Mamootty !
Gave a new dimension to Malayalam movies along with Mohanlal.
Acted in few tamil movies & in other languages also
One of the best in today's Indian cinema & arguable one of the ever best in indian movies as well
Another actor who never looks like acting but lives like a character !
-
Mamooty was known for his serious protrayals and character roles. His portrayal and emotional style of acting used to rake in alot of family audiences and fans. Recently he was labelled as monotonous till he showed he could do comedy in rajamaanickam and also action in CBI series. He is truly a versatile actor adept at both serious and masala roles with a sensitive and realistic portrayal of each role he does.
-
I loved his CBI series- He became a 'brand'. This actor is the only one I've seen who becomes more & more handsome as he grows older. A Classic case of Age-Reversal!!!!
Some of his all-time best movies:
Mathilukal
Dr. Ambedkar.
Vidheyan
Pondan Mada
Surya manasam &
Oru vadakkan Veera Gaadha.
( I know there are many more memorable performances by the most handsome indian actor)
I loved him in kandukondain kandukondain- he was so cute- his expressions!
-
Excellent choice Alan. I would add
Bhoothakanadi to it.
-
Thanks Sandeep!
I am really into thse offbeat/art movies but I also enjoy Commercial Cinema!
Yes, how could I miss Bhoothakannadi, a movie by ace director Lohitdas?
-
" iyer the great "
this movie i loved to watch ...
Also THE TRUTH .... movie was awesome !
" CBI Dairy kurippu " I felt one of the best intelligence series !
-
So was Arayanangulude Veedu.
-
I have watched Mammooti in tamil films - Thalapathi, Mouname Sammatham, Arasaatchi, Oru CBI dairy kurippu, among others.
I recenly saw Thaskaraveeran ( mal. ) - his charm is still well intact !

Kaazhcha displayed a wonderful performance by him.
I also liked him in Golanthara Vaarthagal, where he plays the role of Rameshan, who goes about cleansing the society & stands for justice and all.
