King of Pop ?

I was wondering if MJ is still the "King of Pop" ? If not, who it would be ? :)

I am not able to find any single pointers to an artist, who can be termed as "king", So thought of raising a topic and getting your views - Is there someone dominating world pop ? What about other genres ?

MJ is definitely not, he is old hat now. He was called King for the two albums, Thriller and Bad.
Now, I think musically we're going through a lean phase.So, one person really rules. Except maybe, in Hip Hop, Rap segments.Any way he eighties figure
