Hey guys, I would like to ask this question: can the following two songs by Ilayaraja be classified under any Carnatic Raagam, and if so, what Raagam would it be: "Nalam vaazha ennaaLum en vaaLthukkaL" from "Marubadiyum"; "ILavenil idhu Vaigaasi maadham" from "Kaadhal rojaave"; are they based on the same Raagam? Or are they closely related Raagams? I'm no music expert, but both songs sound similar to each other (to my ears at least). Any other songs composed in similar/related Raagams?

ilavenil vaikasi maadham... that bit balu song sounds like unnai ninaichen .....Apoorva sagodharargal to me!! it must be Keeravani....!!

On repeated listening Nalam vaazha... is NOT similar to the bit song 'ila venil...'!!
ilavenil... is idendical of 'OH! pappa lali...'
