yes, vithagan.. you r right
RAATTINAM
- almost same story like "Kaadhal".. but the ending has some very important message
- the consequences of love.. love between a 12th std girl [minor girl] & a boy [not told about his educational background]
- when i thought the director has slightly modified the ending of Kaadhal.. there was a twist..
- the ending is what mostly happens in reality & only after reading the end card texts i realised director has conveyed the message... a very important one
- i wish school students esp. girls watch this film..
- songs onnu rendu nalla irundha madhiri irundhadhu.. eppadiyum adhai ellam ketkaporadhillai
- no separate comedy track is a plus
- screenplay was interesting till the end
- hero - heroine vera yaravadhu.. innum better'ah select pannirkkalaam... heroine konjam gundaa.. poosunapla irundhadhu.. oru sayalla Bhumikha madhiri irundhadhu.. director adhai parthu select pannittarO..
- most characters show yedhartha acting.. good & not forced edhartham [idhu ennanu ketkadheenga.. vera padathula partha solren]
- story location: Tuticorin
- i found it artificial when most of the characters end their sentences with a "lE" .. i have my college mate from Tuticorin.. never seen him using "lE" & i know one more person from Thiruchendur.. i can identify their accent.. but found this "lE" usage more like vijay using "nnA"
- one more girl was shown for some 4 to 5 scenes.. i felt she was more beautiful than the heroine..
- indha padathula kanbikkira love'la ellam enakku udanpaadu illai i.e., school love, college love... but i have seen love in college successfully transforming into marriage [college classmate].. this % is very very min...
- idhukku munnadi innoru padam parthen.. andha love'ku muzhu sammadham
LEELAI
- if Raattinam is a "town" school love story.. this one is urban - IT love story
- barring a few mokkais from Santhanam.. its a nice timepass movie
- as i said in Raattinam review.. i give full support to this love.. & i expected a +ve ending & the director provides it
- hero reminds me Raghuvaran in his early career.. tall - lean - fair
- didn't see / listen to the songs... so no comments about it
just reading the Hindu review of Raattinam..
Raattinam is a film that succeeds in surprising you on more occasions than just one — the biggest surprise coming right at the end, in the form of the climax. To be fair to director K. S. Thangasamy, his story may appear clichéd, but the message he communicates through his film is relatively fresh and one that makes sense.
Director Thangasamy, who has all along been making the audience take the side of the young couple, in a swift move makes them see the wisdom in the argument of the other side. He ends the film on a realistic note without resorting to exaggeration of any sort.

Extreme reviews for Vengayam. NOV and Hamid hailed it as one of the best and Softy does the opposite. :)
nAn ee :-)
Entertaining (including the Santhanam portions)!
(BTW, I read somewhere that Gnani assumed the Malayalam version will have his name - "gnAn ee" enna oru megalomania...Housefly is called "eechcha" in Malayalam and the same is shown in the LED display in the movie, ivar adhaikkooda ozhungAppAkkama oru vimarsanam pOttuttAru)
Kizhakku cheemayile.......
as usual, the typical BR movie moments, napoleon standing still after his wife's death, as if waiting for a Mcegg.......poor editing, the climax scene suffers a lot from it.......still the moments like the famous "thaai maaman" dialogues, radhika's dialogues in climax, thenkizhakku chemaayile song are so incisive so that they precisely capture the motif......
"thanneer thanneer" - movie in Vijay TV
Top notching performance from Saritha.
Very good attempt from KB. He came out from his usual shell (Stage drama & Brahmin's culture dialogue) and tried something new in terms of Village plot and rural dialogues.
:notworthy:
