Dev, this roti John is another version of sandwiches or similar to murtabak filling. I used to do this for the children before.
There are many types of fillings, meat is the most common one.
You can do it with sardine fish, or even just eggs. Try it Dev.

ROTI JOHN
Ingredients:
150 grms minced chicken
1 onion chopped
1 tsp meat curry powder
1 pip garlic chopped
Little spring onion chopped
Little pepper powder
Tiny bits of button mushrooms
Salt to taste
Little oil
3 eggs
Little mayonnaise
Little chillie tomato sauce
Hot Dog buns, sliced sideways not completely through
Method:
Heat oil in a wok, add in the onions and garlic.
Fry till fragrant, add in the minced chicken.
Stir nicely, add in the curry powder, salt and little water.
Cook on low heat, add in the mushroom.
Cook till the liquid is almost dried up.
Add in the pepper powder . Remove.
In another bowl, beat the eggs, add in the cooked meat,
Salt and the spring onions. Mix well.
Heat a bit of oil in a non stick pan.
Pour a ladle of the egg mixture on to the pan.
Place the bun face down on the egg mixture.
Use a dosai spoon to lift up the whole bun, once the egg is cooked.
Pipe some tomato sauce and mayonnaise sauce.
Garnish with lettuce and tomato slices.
Close the bread, pipe little zigzag pattern on the bun
using the sauce. Serve.
