Sivaji - Padmini beats everything i believe.
nestu..Sivaji-Vanishree - Vasantha maaligai is the ultimate.. antha oru padam pothum
then Sivaji - Devika - bale paandiya is a good one.
KRV & Jayalalitha :no_way:
ah yes. Sivaji - Jayalalitha is my second chioce, after vanishree. May be not perfect, but soothing to watch them together.
Devika of course. What a pairing. Such believable on-screen couple.
Coming in in second position would be Jayalalitha. I always had soft spot for JJ's onscreen performance and she is a good match to NT.
En siRRavirukku ettiya varai, but Sivaji-Padmini are the very definition of chemistry
There may - note 'may'- have been better performances (like Devika). But in terms of a pair that looked and felt (Plum goes off a tangent here) great together - Sivaji and Padmini are just exemplary.

I am  to see PR's views on Padmini. :yessir:
Why NOV ?
ThillAnA is one of my all-time favourite films
ThillAnA
pEsum deivam (the second half is as much padmini's as it is Sivaji's)
....many like that where she is an able match.
A couple of week's back I saw EthirpArAthathu. The azhugAchchi film relies heavily on the sensual tension of the pair. It is unlikely it would have been as convincing as this one with anyone else. Intense is the word.
IMO it is quite perfect that Sivaji's famous Anarkali speech (written by MK) was for Padmini
I wasnt thinking of Chemistry, to be honest. If you seriously bring in Chemistry, then Sivaji-Padmini becomes like Kamal-Gauthami, if you will. Adhichikka mudiyaddhu dhaan
But since the panchayat was sariyaana jodi yaaru sounded like "what should have been" rather than "what was", I chose Devika.
two words. Vietnam Veedu :lol2:Quote:
