Hi TFML

It is very true that these songs get into our blood and stays with us till our lifetime. During MSV's prime time the whole of TN including all rural, urban areas were mesmerized
by his tunes and music. Needless to say his influence on TN people will be difficult to be emulated. Even after 50 years his music refuse to die and i do not see his music forgotten another 30 to 40 years. Beneficiaries of MSV music is countless but some of the few are MGR, NT, JJ, TMS , Kannadasan, PS, Kamal, PBS, Vaali, SPB, Jesudas, S Janaki, LRE, etc, all of them agreed legends. It is difficult for me to identify any musician in Indian cinemas who has contributed as much as him. Their is no awards that justify the contribution that he has made.
I think this is a statement made in error
Not only during his prime, even now his songs are played all over the world.... Tune to Murasu TV or Sun Life for 24 hours of music of his era
TV, youtube, FB... everywhere that era music is dominant - truly the golden period of tamil film music
MSV & TK Ramamurthy first movie was Panam, a movie by A. L. Seenivasan and directed by N. S. Krishnan. It was the second film for Sivaji Ganesan and for first time their names appeared as Viswanathan-Ramamurthy. T. K. Ramamoorthy is elder to M. S. Viswanathan by seven years, but the placing of their names as Viswanathan-Ramamurthy was agreed upon by both parties on the advice of N. S. Krishnan. That was the beginning where since then both composed several hundred songs together.
I read that they composed "vaan meethile inba thaen maari" for Chandi raani as assistants of Shri C.R.Subburaman. As CRS was not well, the duo composed the song.
