Recommendations required

Hello Everyone!

I have a huge task of compiling "filmi" music based on Western Pop Music Genre- like the influence of Rock n Roll (Shammi Kapoor,Chandra Babu etc), Disco, etc., on Indian movie songs.

The languages I'm working on are Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil movie songs. I would like to have recommendations from the Hubbers, stating name of the song & movie, the singer(s), the genre and if possible the year as well.

If there's a web site where one can legally download the songs you mention, that would be great!

Shoba,
we discussed songs beloging to western genres under various threads. To locate them, you can go to http://www.tfmpage.com and do a search with the genre names. That should give you many of songs up to the 90's.

Shoba, And please post the list, atleast for tamil, here. You dont have to be fully done before you post it. Probably, when you have a considerable number. Many here would be able to provide some invaluable suggestions.
