This Kolukattai will be in white colour, but still with a spicy taste from the green chillies.

Here's the softest authentic Kozhukatta(A Kerala steamed rice ball filled with sweetened shredded coconut)

Rice flour 5 cups
Sooji 1 cup

Filling:

Shredded coconut
Sarkara/ Sugar
Cardamom crushed

Slowly pour sooji in boiling water and stir vigourously in low heat for one minute. This is called Kappi kachiyathu.
Add sooji mix to rice flour and mix well with enough warm water to get the desired consistancy.
wet hands are good to avoid sticking when making balls. Flatten the ball and place the filling in the center and bring all sides to close the filling and smoothen the suface with your wet fingers.

Steam it and eat it!!

Insted of sooji you can use ground parboiled rice. The results are the same.
