Okay, for mine. It's a controversial film from late 80's that got very negative reviews at the time. In particular, one critic wrote a venal article about the film and filmmaker.

Here's another set of snaps from the same filmmaker but a different, another noted film, that released almost 10 yearss later..

Both Film A and Film B have patriarchal characters with violent tendencies (credit to Zizek for his passionate analysis )

Here are four other snaps from Film B (that I snapped from Zizek's Pervert's Guide to Cinema FYI)

Ah, now that made it easier. "Touch of Evil". Surely a Welles-esque shot (and great one at that) than Hitchcock's. :)

Thought it was Diaboliques first, but didn't see such expansive motel scenes in that film...

Phoren quiz (which you're super strong at) is a bit difficult to get wide audience, Dr.

So sticking to American filmmakers and/or keeping in mind the audience. If I'm to do another quiz. It'll be one of Welles, Chaplin, B.Keaton, Billy Wilder, Woody Allen, Scorsese, DePalma, Stanley Kubrick, Coppola, Spielberg, Lucas, and Polanski. Or something generic like Westerns or 70's cinema. Will let you know.
