- Querida

i came upon my mirror one night,
and in its darkness i saw more
than what light ever reflected.
shadows deeply awaited my eyes
to peer more closely
and thus i leaned
into its inkish plane
and just went through...

By far your best, Querida!!!

Simply love the motif, the meaning!

"And in its darkness I saw more than what light ever reflected"

It is simply beautiful and deep, as deep as the shadows that await our eyes from its inkish depths, ready to swallow us should we lean too close...

Thankyou Badri!

Well i remember the oddest feeling i had that night when i actually touched my mirror surface...which was darker than the darkness of my bedroom and thought it would almost sink in....i also remember turning on the lights and my sis shouting "Akka!!!" and then throwing a pillow at me :P

it reminded me the following verse by sidhi charan

MY SHADOW

A SHAPE IT IS BUT A FORMLESS ONE

A SPEECH IT IS BUT A SENSELESS ONE

A MAN IT IS BUT A SOUL LESS ONE

A THOUGHT CLOSED OFF FROM ALL AROUND

IT IS MY SHADOW WALKING AROUND
