Though we call her the indian queen of tennis , dont you think she is being lauded for nothing..
She has been losing all the matches in the first round in all major tournaments...since the fluke australian open.. It is only because of statistics that she is ranked 34th..

S. She's overhyped. But til v produce a player like Clijsters / Amelie / Sharapova / Henin, v hav no other go.

Though Sania seems to have been little bit over hyped in the indian media but in comparison with our cricketers it seems to be fair. our cricketers would get in to "Hall OF Fame" by just playing one good innings and get a front page & sports page coverage in all our daily papers and apart from that they also manage to get few modelling assignments.

By just the fact that Sania has managed to get in to position in tennis where no other indian women has ever got is an achievement in itself for which she definitely needs to be applauded.

Thats right....
But whatever respect and fame she is receiving
in india, she must match it with atleast 50% in her game...
She seems to be losing all tournaments in the first round...
Only in the doubles , she has been better ,even that was said to be her partner's playing...
Infact she was the one who was giving away the points...
She is too young to handle this...she better concentrate on her game..

Many Indians like oberoi sisters, play only in qualifying tournaments.Sania plays in main draw in all the tournaments with her ranking.
But I am sure due to Sania factor, we will see many tennis stars in the future.

:) I mean ... since she no longer comes in the news and probably has left the game .. was curious to know whats happenning with her career has she has started her own coaching school or married and settled some where in US of A or what .... our other hero Narain Karthikeyan has already started coaching school for motor sports.

I never believed in Narain's abilities. I am eagerly waiting for Chennai's own Karun Chandok , a more promising and talented ace driver to get a break. He has been unlucky. He does not have the backing of big companies like Tata as in the case of Narain. To excel in motorsports one needs to find good sponsors too.
