i feel that what iraiyanawr in 11th century A.D..
cannot be discounted for the man had come out late. he might have had reference to earlier text or concrete account of three academies.

Iraiyanawr a 11th century personality.He gave an account of three sangams including the periods &the number kings & bards who patronised them.
