I WELCOME ALL CARNATIC MUSIC LOVERS TO THIS QUIZ. THERE WILL BE SEVERAL CATEGORIES. PARTICIPATE AND ENJOY YOURSELF. FEEL FREE TO COMMENT. I REQUEST THE STALWARTS HERE TO GUIDE ME WHENEVER NEED BE.

| The answers to Quiz #1: The songs jnAna vinAyakanE sharaNam which is in the raga gambhIranATa and Adi tALA is rendered by Kadri Gopalnath on the Saxophone. The composer is Svami Sharavanabhavananda. |

| I listened to the song again and the singer is Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer who is accompanied by a disciple - not Alattur Brothers. |

Is not gnana vinayagane papanasam sivan's kriti? pl. correct me if am wrong.
and u r right abt alathur brothers. i took it from alathur album only.
'academy concert' of alathur. but on hearing after ur comment, it sounds like semmangudi mama's voice.

lakshmanan sir, are you the same lakshmanan taking care of lyrics section at rasikas.org?
there are numerous wrong entries in the net regarding composers and artistes. am relatively an amateur rasika, willing to correct at least the wrong entries in my collection. looking forward to your help and guidance.
authentic sivan sites do not have this 'gnana vinayagane'. pl. throw some light. thanks in advance. |

| Yes, I am the one from rasikas org and I am sure jnAna vinAyakanE is not by Papanasham Shivan. |
