Naanayam is a forthcoming Tamil thriller film written and directed by newcomer Shakti S. Rajan. Produced by S. P. B. Charan's Capital Film Works, the film stars Prasanna as the protagonist, Sibiraj as the antagonist and Ramya Raj, who has appeared in the films Sandai and Thee as Ragini, debutante Yasmin Khan and Charan's father, singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam in pivotal roles. The film, which has music scored by Subramaniapuram fame James Vasanthan, is currently in its filming stage and expected to release by late 2009.

Had a chance to speak with Shakti (director of this film)..he said dis movie is made wth the budget of 6c....nd the total crew including sp charan , pducer of the film are all happy with the way movie is shaped  ..nd will be watching a preview show soon

Naanayam Movie Preview
Starring: Sibiraj, Prasanna, SP Balasubramaniam, Ramya Rai.

One thing is sure, if anyone is robbing a bank, they surely won’t be caring about any ‘Naanayam’, literally and otherwise. It is a very Hollywood concept and there have been many English movies that have revolved around the exciting premise of a bank robbery. Now, we are getting one in Tamil with Sibiraj and Prasanna in the lead and we expect it to provide no less thrills.
Set in Chennai, the events shown in Naanayam take place within the span of a week during which the bank robbery is executed. Sibiraj dons a negative role for the first time in his career and is widely expected to grab a lot of attention with his role. After his tryst with villainy in the highly successful Anjathey, Prasanna returns to being the good man. But, it is not the soft kind of roles that we are used to seeing him in. This one will definitely have its share of action.
Shot exclusively in Chennai and surrounding parts, with a few shots being canned in Kodaikkanal, Naanayam has been produced by SPB Charan under the Capital Films banner. He is definitely making it a habit of supporting new and interesting efforts which break away from stereotypes.
‘Kunkuma Poovum Konjum Puravum’ earlier this year is a good example.
Being a suspense thriller, director Sakthi S Rajan has said that the screenplay is the actual hero of the film. James Vasanthan has scored music. Let’s wait and watch whether the bank robbery excites audiences.

avaru En vijay mARi try paNRAru? The song with oldie goldie looks was almost like ponmagaL vandhAL. And, there was news he was playing a kabbadi player + Vijay fan... ennAchu andha padam? still ellAm oru mAdhiriyA release Achu...

Watched Nannayam preview show....a good thriller film....sure hit(specially the movie will do well in A centers)..prasana nd sibi has done a good job.....
