Dear Bhaskaran Avl,
If you are using a stone mortar, best way is to add a little water and make a thick and fine paste.
Since we use Mixi for dry grinding, it is impossible to make a paste of a table spoon of Khus Khus.
What I do in this cast is, roast Khus khus a litlle and let it stand for five minutes. Then I grind it in small jar .Here it powders well if you roast otherwise, unroasted khus khus does not get powdered.
After it becomes powder, I add a little water and re run the mixi. I immediately get a thick liquid/paste of Khus Khus.
Try it out.
