Neel,

There is another popular & beautiful duet song in this movie 'செப்புக் கொடம் தூக்கி போற செல்லம்மா...நான் விக்கிப் போறேன் தாகத்துல நில்லம்மா' sung by KJY & Vani Jeyaram!

Neel/Priya: If you have "cheppukkudam thookki pORa..." please post it. The song is KJY's answer to those who say that he is not versatile (in TFM)!! Smile

one more song like 'dandaku dandaku' with hero (shankar) ganesh running all along the road with a bag ( he acted as the postman for a remote village, I think)

Hi Neel: Rarely do my wishes come true... even the rare ones that come true often take a very long time. "cheppukkudam..." is an exception. It is like instant karma! Like Maria in the Sound of Music sings, "somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good..." ! Thank you!! You made my day Very Happy

About the song itself, it is rare because Yesudas rarely sings songs of this genre in TFM. He probably has sung more such songs in Hindi. Thank you once again... I must go out now and celebrate Very Happy

Dear NeelD,

Wow...what a fantastic songs, Un ennamthan & Cheppukkudam. Both were best composed by SG. Thanks a lot for the songs.

Pick #647

Song: padiththEn oru pAttu
Film: Pattikkattan
Music: Shankar-Ganesh
Singer: K.S.Chitra
Lyrics: Vaali
Year: 1990

Happy Father's Day!

"Pattikkattan" starred Raghuman and Rupini in the lead. It is a recycled version of the same story of Maduraikkara Thambi, Sakalakalavallavan, Periya Idathu Penn and I don't know how many more versions are out there.

Other songs from the film:
pAththukkadi pAththukkadi - MV
enggE vechchE enggE vechchE - MV, KSC
eththanai kavarchchi - Mano, KSC

Today's pick is a cute song. But it has nothing to do with Father's Day. Smile

I think SG tried a somewhat different style, though a strongly IR-inspired one.

RR, I thought it had and IR influence too. Inspired by Agni Natchathiram solos, I think.
