Neel Anna... super shocks you have given thru Maduraikkara thambi.
1. Are you planning for G.Srinivasan vaaaram?
2. Manimala mother of Vijayakumar? kadvuLe..
SPS voice seems to be ok in this song.
If Ramki had shown more effort, he could have become much more popular. In my opinion, he is good in acting besides being handsome. |

SN23,
No, not a G.Srinivasan vaaram.
Yes, I like Ramki a lot. Much much better than most of the commercial heroes who came after him. |

Thanks Neel for the song nAkkula mUkkula. Hearing this after decades. Infact I had this song taped from radio at that time.
Thanks Priya for sending this rare gem.

Pick #635
Song: ammammA Asai
Film: Kuppathu Raja
Music: M.S.Viswanathan
Singer: Vani Jairam
Lyrics: ?
Year: 1979
MSV, VJ and the lyricist(Kannadasan?) turn a drunken woman's song into a classic. Have not seen this film. It starred Vijayakumar, Manjula, Rajinikanth and Padmapriya.
Today's pick is a nEyar viruppam.

Vinatha - nIngaLum thiruchi-aa? I remember watching chinna puve mella pesu during mr first year in college... endha theatre-nu gnabagam illai... was it maris?
Ramki was one of my favourite actors... He was good in fight sequences, had a good hair style, was okay acting wise... too bad that he did not stay/ was not allowed to stay. _________________ kaadhal iLavarasan kalai thiranai nI ariyaai! |

Neel D -
Top-notch pick! The sweet, sweet predictability of this site!
Another VJ / MSV solo that's an identical twin (rendum Padmapriya!) is from Vaira Nenjam: Neeraada Naeram Nalla Naeram.
I hope to catch up on all your other picks thus far sometime this summer. |
